TATTOO PHOTOGRAPHY & WORKING WITH YOUR SUBJECT
The biggest problem was in the subjects taking off their clothes in front of me, the equipment possibly looked like some gynaecological machine People & Their Tattoo Art - Photographic Study Street Cast Models Capturing real moments and narrating compelling visual stories has always been my photography love. Working as a fashion and editorial photographer has taught me that photographing real people—and especially those who are sporting tattoos—allows me to delve into the complicated fabric of individuality and expression. Tattoos intrigue me because they are works of art that are both highly personal and often symbolic. For someone like myself…

CHANNEL FOUR TELVISION PHOTOGRAPHER with GOK WAN!!
HTLGN was the show that enabled me to start working very quickly and this is something I tend to do these days HTLGN was a challenge. Not just because of having to shoot so much bodywork but the whole format was stressful. HTLGN was the show that enabled me to start working very quickly and this is something I tend to do these days, the challenge really from the very start was how to light quickly, how to light people who were very conscious of their body and most of all how to make the image very striking for TV…

Rurik Gislarson on Location Iceland – FUJIFILM GFX50S
My extreme challenge was to not only pose the subject with what was really a very loose and uninspiring composition RURIK Rurik Gislarson on Location Iceland - FUJIFILM GFX50SFine Art Images Working In Iceland is normally a challenge, battling the elements and shooting on spec with a radically changing landscape and a dynamic set of creatives was, of course, a challenge in itself. However, the use of the fabulous Fuji Camera GFX50S was a welcome gesture by Fuji UK who gave me complete access to the full kit to complete my location shoot for the International brand Lambertz of Germany.…

To receive the famous 100-year-old Telegram from the Queen and famous in the UK for reaching the ripe old age of 100 years is a rare opportunity for some and people are lucky enough to reach this grand age which is a landmark for them. Jack Brown my grandfather was one of these lucky few. This journal post is my own remembrance, a salute to Jack on V.E. Lebanon Beirut Street Photography
This area was dangerous as it was close to the border and where all of the politically driven hide out. Access to the temple would lead us through one area in particular, Lebanon Beirut Street Photography A few years back I was traversing the eastern European country of Lebanon, part of a commercial mission. Whilst on the fact-finding mission, I asked to be taken to the largest temple of Baalbek in the southern part of the country. This area was dangerous as it was close to the border and where all of the politically driven hide out. Access to the…

LOMOGRAPHY Petzval & Holga Camera and lens.
I had an opportunity to put the PETZVAL lens through its paces for Lomography UK on location in Cumbria. PETZVAL LOMOGRAPHY LENS FOR NIKON When first asked by Lomography UK if I wanted to use the highly prized Petzval lens, I must admit I first thought that maybe it was not going to be possible to find the time or indeed the right subject matter to do the optics justice. The lens was kindly sent out by Lomography UK to use and when it arrived I must admit it oozed quality. The box embellished with a beautifully toned black…

ANALOG FILM & PROCESSING BLACK AND WHITE PROCESS
ANALOG FILM & PROCESSING BLACK AND WHITE PROCESS I started at University processing my own black and white film and prints; this included later on colour prints C-types and Cibachrome prints from slides. I became very good in the darkroom and specialised in the black and white side of things with my special formula for printing great prints using AGFA papers, which was fibre-based. I then processed this in Agfa Chemicals and finally warm toning in selenium toners to get a beautiful, subtle, warm black. Films shot would be all sorts, including Ilford HP5, FP4, Kodak Tmax 100, 200, 400 and 3200…

Lord Bath Alexander Thynn, 7th Marquess of Bath
Every now and then a great opportunity happens within your daily photographic week. Celebrity photography is not always how you imagine. Times allotted to work with them are quite a short turnaround. "This I not a pub, when you sit in the presence of Lord Bath you must adhere to what is called etiquette. I don't suppose you know much about this but you must follow this when you are in front of me and eating at mine and the Marquess's lunch table! I am his wife or as you may know this term, his wifelet and I look after…
